Did you find them?

Why most of the service organisations working in Tsunami-affected areas of Tamilnadu are non-government and religious organisations? What happened to the fans associations of our actors and actresses? Leave this aside, what about our major political parties?
In the photos I have seen, there are volunteers in full white attire, in white and khaki, and with white caps. What happened to the members of political parties who would normally be 'asked ' to attend their leaders' meeting without fail by their leaders? Did those leaders not even 'request ' their followers to do service in the affected region?
Next time, when you see photographs of political meeting with people in black, red, white, green, and combination of all possible gaudy colors, do have a silent smile. Lest your loud laughter might disturb their activites - rational, fight-against-oppression, struggle-against-America's-materialism, our-lives-are-only-for-our-language, your-lives-for-our-idealogy, etc.

Which division of society would you really like to see: religious, fans clubs, or .....I also wonder why fans associations are not working under those banners; perhaps in rehabilitation works? It may be too much to expect them to join every program:)) Let's see in times ahead.

I dont know about political parties, but the RSS was in the forefront of relief activities. For more info, please see the latest issue of Cho's Thuklak. It has a detailed report.
In fact the Communist leader, Mr Nallakannu, is reported to have said that he did not find any Government people at all in several places. He found only RSS volunteers disposing of dead bodies.
His comment assumes more significance as RSS and Communists are arch rivals.

I have read the recent issue of Thuqlak where the relief activities of RSS are mentioned. I feel it is not appropriate to consider RSS as a political organisation. Moreover I have also implicitly referred about RSS in my post!

Anonymous, I agree it is not possible for every organisation to participate in all societal activities. But the power of organisations like fans association to mobilise resources is immense. Anyway Let's patiently wait for more good things to happen!
